UNILAG fraudulent admission offers: The University of Lagos (UNILAG) formally disclaims and distances itself from any assertions, representations, or other communications by unauthorized parties claiming to provide “discretionary admission opportunities” or special considerations through unapproved channels. This statement serves as a caution to all prospective students and the general public, underscoring that any admission claims outside of the official process are deceptive and entirely fraudulent.
UNILAG emphasizes that all admissions are handled exclusively through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), in strict adherence to established guidelines and procedures outlined on the official UNILAG website. To prevent any potential scams, the University has not authorized any social media groups, platforms, or external agents to manage or influence its admissions process.
Further, the University dissociates itself from any suggestion of using “connections with admission officials” to secure a place. Such claims are misleading, fraudulent, and entirely unfounded. UNILAG will pursue immediate legal action against individuals or groups attempting to exploit applicants through false admission offers.
The public is advised to be vigilant and avoid any engagement with parties offering special admissions in exchange for payments, letters, or other incentives. Both the individuals making such offers and those accepting them are liable for these illegal activities.
