Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Gets NBTE Approval for 18 Additional Courses
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved 18 new academic programmes for Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic in Kaduna State, allowing the institution to expand its course offerings alongside its existing programmes.
The approval followed a resource inspection and re-accreditation visit carried out by the board at the institution in January 2026.
A letter dated February 20, 2026, conveying the approval was signed by the Director of the Polytechnic and Allied Programmes Department, Dr. Fatima Kabir Umar, on behalf of the NBTE Executive Secretary, Prof. Idris Mohammed Bugaje.
In a statement issued by Abdullahi Ibrahim Shehu, Overseer of the Polytechnic’s Information and Protocol Division, the institution described the development as a major milestone that would enable it to broaden its admission capacity and strengthen technical and vocational education.
According to the statement, the approval will allow the polytechnic to run the new programmes in addition to its 42 existing courses.
The management noted that the accreditation demonstrates the institution’s commitment under the leadership of the Rector, Engr. Dr. Mohammed Kabir Abdullahi, to maintaining high standards in technical education.
The polytechnic stated that the expansion of programmes would help produce skilled graduates capable of contributing meaningfully to national development.
It further explained that the newly approved programmes are designed to meet emerging industry demands and equip students with specialised knowledge and practical skills across different sectors of national interest.
