JAMB Announces 2026 Direct Entry Registration
The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has informed prospective applicants that the 2026 Direct Entry registration has commenced. This was made known through a statement on the Board’s official Twitter handle, now X, informing the general public that the 2026 Direct Entry registration has kicked off.
The statement reads: “2026 Direct Entry Registration: This is to inform the prospective DE applicants that sale of application document has commenced today Monday, 2nd March 2026 and will end by Saturday, 25th April 2026".
However, the Board also noted that prospective candidates should be cautious. It emphasized that only JAMB offices are authorized to provide access to the registration service. The Board advised candidates to be watchful and avoid falling victim to fraudulent individuals.
It says: “Please, note that this service can be accessed only at our offices nationwide.”
It could be recalled that the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, had earlier warned parents and prospective candidates to be careful and not be misled by some centres that extort money for registration and other services. Speaking in Abuja during a press briefing, he reminded the public that the fee for JAMB registration has remained the same as officially approved.
He further stated that centres that extort money from prospective candidates by charging more than the approved fee should be reported immediately. Meanwhile, parents and prospective candidates are reminded that any collaboration with such centres will be penalized.
According to the JAMB boss, some parents and prospective candidates collaborate with certain individuals in an attempt to gain higher scores. He noted that some registration centre proprietors who were caught engaging in such malpractice have been apprehended and their centres closed.
Therefore, Prof. Oloyede advised the general public to be wary of fraudulent individuals who now use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to disguise themselves as officials in order to collect money from JAMB and candidates.
As the JAMB exercise draws closer, Prof. Oloyede encouraged parents and guardians to instill in their children the spirit of hard work, commitment, and genuineness. He also encouraged prospective candidates to study diligently so they can write the examination smoothly and independently.
